Description Here is the only flower that I saw while I was on the tallest dunes in N. America. This was taken a few days ago in The Great Sand Dunes National Monument & Preserve in southern Colorado. Thanks for taking a look

This is amazing, its full of so much raw emotion, it is not saddening or bleak, but elegently composed with such a great vibe. Thats why I gave it a fav.

The composition of this shot is just beautiful. In fact, it's composed in such a way that the plants seem like a bunch of Western settlers in a good ol' fashioned standoff. The yellow-flowered plant carries almost a heroic presence in the foreground of the shot, and the blurring of the green plants in the background seems to identify them as the antagonists. I also love how the horizon points downward toward the lone plant, solidifying its role as the primary subject of the shot. Sweet.

Uhm, i thought i had commented on this already, but i guess i didn't...

Anyway. It's a beautiful image because it shows something special, i.e. a flower in the desert. Things like this one move man's soul.
The one thing i'm not sure of, here is that greenery in background. But maybe it's needed to recall the green color of the flower's stem. Mhmm.

Beautiful photo. So crisp and clean like all your others. This picture strikes me in a certain way probably because I can relate to one of the interpretations of it. I'm adding this to my favorites and I don't do so lightly so kudos to you for getting past my pickiness and pleasing me. Even I have a hard time doing that! Enough babble about me. Beautiful photo!

Amazing photography. I have never seen the national park but I saw the dunes in Southern California. I never even knew sand dunes existed in North America until a few months ago.
