Ahhh!! The first drawing with my tablet >U< I love using the tablet and I got more comfortable with it while drawing her!~ Oh!~ Her being Rin from Shelter. ;-; Ahh the music video made me cry...it has such an amazing story. And I attempted a background for the first time...Definitely easier with a tablet!Related content

Ack! No of course not! Tracing is one of the worst things an artist can do!! I did use reference to see what the character looked like (hairstyle, clothes, etc) but the piece as a whole is my own. I'm afraid I can't defend myself if it looks like it was traced because there's such little media for Shelter (only the one music video! :<) that it's hard not for many fanarts of it to have similar features But I hope you can trust in me that I did not and ever will trace over someone else's artwork!~ (\(^v^)/)

Nah. It looks fine. The face looks different. Well done! Love porter. Though the hand are way too tiny in comparison to the rest of her body/face.. That being said, her arms could be slightly wider (thicker?). And her breasts can be a lot smaller. She is a child after all.

Oh my gosh! This immediately caught my eye because of Rin, I love Rin so much!
I love the colors, you can tell that you have put a lot of effort into it. The shading is wondrful, and the background is so soft and pretty! It makes Rin more noticable. This really gives it that Porter Robinson feeling to it!
One thing I would work on is maybe the arms? They look a little square at the elbows, and the hands could be a bit bigger. Other than these small things, the picture is fantastic!

From project comment. This picture is decent. The colors look nice, but just a nitpick the colors of the charter and the background kinda look out of place. The anatomy looks alright but there is some problems like the forehead is too big. Also the body is too long, and the hands look a bit too small. The main problems are with the anatomy is the arms. The right arm is bigger then the other and also both of the arms are too straight and stiff. Real arms have curves and shape. For the anatomy i advise you to get a reference. The shading is pretty and decent my only criticism is that the soft shading is inconstant. The hair only uses hard shading while the rest of the picture uses both hard and soft shading. Also the shading looks like it's coming from the front but the right arm the light looks like it's coming form the behind. The good things are once again the colors also the line work is smooth and nice also the hair is well drawn. Also it looks good for using the tablet for the first time.

Hey, this have a very good mood and atmosphere ! For a first drawing with a tablet, it's not bad at all ! There are still some anatomy mistakes : the arms look too stiff and her right arm is shorter than her left one. You should do some studies in order to get a better understanding of anatomy - it will come with practice 
But yeah, even if your drawings suffer from some flaws, I really like it. The colors are very harmonious and give your piece a very sweet and happy atmosphere~ I really loved this anime me too ;;

I will be different, but the shoulders are not the same size, one more straight and one more curved. Other flaws have been pointed by comments below. But for your first try, this looks gorgeous. Definitely good.
