"The Little Cat Fishes"
One day a little cat decided to follow his mother fishing. They both grabbed their fishing poles and headed to a nearby pond. Sitting on the rocks, the two waited. While the mother cat waited patiently, the little cat squirmed and fidgeted until finally he let go of the fishing pole.
"The fish aren't biting now! I'm going to go see what fruits' up in that tree." The little cat exclaimed before scurrying away.
When he finally came back, he found his mom had caught a big fish! Excited, the cat sat back down with his pole and waited eagerly. Several more minutes passed and the cat found himself distracted by hopping grasshoppers and deciding that fish still weren't biting, he pounced after the little insects.
After losing interest again, the little cat went back to the pond only to find that his mother had caught yet another big fish. Determined, the little cat sat down once again and stared at the water. However, his concentration was soon broken again by a fluttering butterfly. Deciding that it wouldn't hurt to chase after the butterfly while he waited for the fish, the little cat once again left his pole unattended.
By the time he came back, his mother had already caught another fish! Though the little cat wanted to try again, his mother said it was getting late and they packed up their poles and his mother's three big fish. Dejectedly, the little cat trudged after his mother, confused why he wasn't able to catch any fish.

My retelling of a rather well known chinese fable/story. I dunno, my parents always told me this story, but I can't find the actual anywhere. There're probably multiple versions too. So now when people say "Little Cat Fishes" or "小猫捕魚" they're implying you're not being focused on a single matter and need to focus all your effort and concentration on doing on thing and not get distracted. When I was little, my dad would always say this to me. Needless to say, he doesn't say it anymore.

He actually said it after many years while I was with my cousins studying because I was getting impatient with just studying day in and day out (about ten hours a day!) And so I drew this sketch, and decided to color it. I even based my icon off of it. xD

This is actually a rather colorful style. I just wanted to mess around and not do something so tight. I didn't quite know what I was doing...
