Entry for 's contest
Even though it's not specifically about WWII, I thought it fit better-- I actually liked MacArthur's "We're not retreating; we're advancing in a different direction" but that's rather irrelevant..
Leigh Aldridge (the blond) is a German fight pilot who dogfights with Van Davis (the redhead), a german-american. I thought out of all the characters they were the (prettiest) most interesting because of Davis' background and the fact he fights with Aldridge who is rather hateful towards Americans.
Their fight is at the Battle of Normandy (Normandy, France) so I based the background off of that area (not that you can really tell... BUT BG'S ARE HARD as is perspective.. so the twisted and messed up ...everything is sort of on purpose just to add to just how ...twisted war is, trenches, propoganda and all that good stuff)
Goshdarnit, I don't think I can be an architect. Surprisingly I only spent a few hours on it (usually it takes me forever and a day), I think it's because I just sat down and cranked it out.
(and I still didn't have a scanner, I just used my camera to take a picture of the sketch OTL)

haha thanks!! I made myself do the Bg before doing the people so the majority of my effort would be used (wasted) there. xDD

WOAH. this is so pretty I think I just stared at it for like an hour. I love the colors, especially around the little dabs of light in the corner and coming from the lamp. also love the use of perspective. Mr. Picknoseman would be proud - or just jealous. and the cat is plain adorable. this totally reminds me of the area in Canobie just outside the Boston Tea Party ride.

haha that's funny because my decision was to make the perspective as screwy as possible because it's too hard to do correctly.
