God, I love this boss. I never reached it when I was younger, only around when I was 16 or something. When I first saw the Last Story I lost my shit, amazed that the game was still going after completing the four stories. I had trouble unlocking it, but once I did I lost my shit even more when I saw Metal Sonic...and the damn transformation was both awesome and scary.

The boss fight, OHHHHHH the boss fight. I remember raging like crazy against it. I was scared of this guy due to his looks, but I managed to fight him. The Team Rose part was easy, although hearing his echoing voice like that gave me chills. The Team Chaotix part I had trouble on, and the Team Dark part was averagely hard. When I saw him suddenly get wings and fly off, and then Sonic turning super with Tails and Knuckles getting shields, I had a feeling things were going to get tougher, and they did.

The fourth phase of his fight was the one that took my breath away the most, along with seeing the transformation. It also took my sanity, because I died way too many times on this phase. Dodging his attacks was hard enough (minus the ship attack), but trying to get Rings was the hardest thing to do, especially once the balloons stop spawning! And god, his Chaos Control made things even tougher!!

But I was SO satisfied to finally beat him after so many tries, and damn his fight and themes were amazing.

sonic heroes is my first sonic game the final boss is pretty cool though the egg emperor is really troublesome.
