Updated the looks. So that way it has the headcoverings.
You know I didn't realize how difficult it was to find 11-12 century clothing for the Byzantine Empire. I know they wear head coverings, however I just wanted to show her hair. Out around town she wears a head covering. Also I'm not even sure if what I put her in dress wise is wholly accurate. I also learned more about albinism researching for this character, hence why she has blue eyes. It is more common for people to have blue eyes than red (which I didn't know). Anyhoo...
Kore is originally from Greece. Nameless and ostracized from her village, she lived in a dilapidated hut near some cliffs as she was believed to be a punishment for some misdeed that her mother did. Unknown to her, the woman that lived in the hut with her was her mother, though she made no inclination she was and punished Kore whenever the girl would try and bond with her, eventually Kore gave up and fended for herself. One day when she was a child, the woman snapped and attempted to kill her. She pushed her away in self-defense but the woman fell off the cliffs, ultimately dying. After this she was kicked out of her village and sold to slavers. She gave herself the name Kore and was subsequently sold again and again to different masters until winding up in Jerusalem at age 17 in 1191 after she escaped the household she was in after one of the master's attempt to assault her. After stealing some food from some people and running away, she ran into (literally) Malik Al-Sayf. Taking pity on her (in some ways she reminded him of Kadar), and hearing the people she had just stolen from chasing after her, he dragged to the Bureau. Intending for her to stay for a little bit, she surprised him by her lack of a reaction to blood or anything as such when she encountered some of the assassins going there. Simply stating she's seen worse, she begins an employment of helping around the Bureau. She and Malik bond slowly over the year, and she grows used to Altair visiting. After Al Mualim's death, she is employed in Masyaf to help out. Slowly over the next few years, she grows to care for Malik, and in return he does as well, though both are very reluctant to admit their feelings. It is only after an incident that she nearly dies from that they admit their feelings for each other. They later marry.
For several decades they were happy, though Kore began to suspect something amiss with Abbas, though Malik tried to keep her out of the problems of the Brotherhood. She became distracted with her pregnancy, a surprise to both her and Malik, who had assumed at this point she couldn't bear children. However the happiness to the birth of their son was short-lived after the coup d'etat orchestrated by Abbas. While at first she managed to escape thanks to Malik, she is subsequently captured and imprisoned. Tazim was raised for the two years by an ally and friend of her and Malik. She was rescued and briefly reunited with her husband, before they were torn away forever after his murder. After Malik's subsequent murder, she went into hiding, raising Tazim with love and kindness, but training him as Malik would have done. When Altair reclaims Masyaf, Kore returns to the stronghold and is a source of help for the aging assassin. She outlives him by a few years, passing away peacefully in her sleep, and finally reunited with her husband and friends.
Kore is an incredibly blunt woman and gives off a very aloof personality, though that was mainly created as a protection due to her years as a slave. When she becomes accustomed to Malik and the others she can be shown as a kind woman, and a willing ear to those who need it. Due to her albinism she is incredibly sensitive to sunlight and has headaches due to it, and when she was younger she would just push through it, though learned to take it easy as to not strain herself. Likewise, due to her albinism she tends to get attention she'd rather not have, so prefers to wear head coverings. When she was younger she kept her hair short, but grew out when Malik commented on liking it long. Unlike her mother, she was protective and loving to her only son, and would tell him tales of his father. While not as skilled as her husband, she did train Tazim and let others train him in secret. The one nickname she was given was 'blue eyes', and she either hated when someone called her that or was indifferent to it.
