I blame BioWare. Stop making so good games, dammit!The picture doesn't contain spoilers, but this text does. So if you haven't played Mass Effect 1 yet and want an unspoiled experience, quit reading the text here.
I think that the stuff that happened on Ilos would kind of get lost in the big work of getting the Citadel up and running again. I mean, sure, the VI Vigil would be a source of interest since it's a link to the Protheans, but no-one would have time to go study an extinct race when there's still buildings on fire, casualties to count and Geth loose in the wards.
Anyway, I think there's a certain group of individuals who would be extremely interested in hearing about everything that happened on Ilos. Namely the Hanar. And I think that Liara would be happy to discuss Ilos, Vigil, Prothean ruins, Prothean culture, Prothean urban structure and so on. Shepard appears to be kind of amused over the discussion, but Wrex is starting to wish that Shepard had brought Garrus or Tali to Ilos instead of him.
Anyway, this was mostly an excuse to draw Hanar. The big salmon-pink one is quite ugly, in my opinion, but as all other species Hanar comes in all shapes and colors.
Ahaha, I love my Shepard. He has a ridiculously long nose, big ears and practically no forehead. Also, space armor.
Hanar, Liara, Shepard, Wrex and all that other Mass Effect stuff belongs to BioWare.
Edit: Oh, right. I used ProMarkers for this and added shine to the Hanar in PS.

Yeah, why stand around and talk about boring stuff when there's still syntethics out in the galaxy that needs to be ripped apart? Liara obviously doesn't know how to prioritize.

Yeah, sounds like my oc, Razakel. He absolutely loves to fight but he hates to just stand around and do nothing. Don't get me wrong, if it interests him, he wouldn't mind listening, so long as the person isn't talking for hours and hours without stopping. Eventually, he'll either walk away, go to sleep, or find something to hunt or kill. His usual phrase during these situations is "Oi, I'm a warrior, not a scholar, so unless you're talking about how to kill something or battle techniques or something romotely interesting, I'll just be on my way." He is actually quite funny.

Yeah, Liara would definitely stop to talk shop with local hanar. I like Shep's expression especially.

That's the thing, I usually play paragon so I can't see how plausible a romance would work in that sense. But don't let that stop you from going that root. Just wondering, what was you're favourite mission based on you're birth history from the first one (spacer, etc.)?

Yeah, I kind of happened to choose only paragon answers with both her and Tali even though I planned on staying true to Liara, so in the end I had to tell them both that it wasn't meant to be. Tali took it pretty well but Jack won't talk to me anymore, she just tells me to fuck off 
Ummm... Colonial. I really felt sad for Talitha and it felt good to help her. I liked earth-born too... didn't care much for the Spacer mission, except that it was fun to talk to Shepard's mother

Jack says the same to me every time I talk to her, well unless I cheat on Miranda. It's funny cause I was only trying to be nice to her
Definitey Colonial. I played that mission about 2 days ago and I thought it was really great. And it's a real kick in the nuts for the colonial characters compared to talking to the-mother-who-didn't-die as a spacer

Probably either Jack or Thane for recruiting, and probably those two again for loyalty. All the loyalty missions are solid, except Jacob's. I didn't like that one very much. The best mission in the game though is Suicide Mission. Absolutely amazing. How about you, what was you're fav mission?

I agree about Jacob's mission, but the music in that was epic. It's one of my favorite tracks on the soundtrack.

It is tough to name a single awesome mission because they're all really awesome. Yeah, Tali's mission is really great because you finally get to see part of the Migrant Fleet.

I think it's mostly people who never liked Liara to begin with who are totally put of by how supposedly different she is in ME2, because they never had them in her party in ME1.
Those of us who've heard her shout "Kill them all!" a few dozen times, already knew that there is steel in that heart of hers. Unlike Ashley where it's on a chip on her shoulder.
So I don't consider her to have changed that much. She likes to explore with wide eyed enthusiasm, but when it was necessary to go up against her own mother, she didn't go all Luke Skywalker about how she can't fight her mother, but did what it took. And now she needs to take down the Shadowbroker.

I think she's changed a bit, but I guess I understand that change. After all she didn't change without reason, so it's not like "OMG what has happened to Liara she used to be so nice and innocent and now she's evil!!!

Awwwww, that is so Liara. You have perfectly captured her enthusiasm and starry-eyed wonder in her expression.
You know she could just talk nonstop for hours about the Protheans and be so excited and engrossed as to be completely oblivious to the passage of time.
I seriously hope they bring back some of her character's innocence and amazement at the galaxy in ME3.

Thanks!^^ Yeah, I kinda liked her enthusiastic and kind of awkward traits, but I also like her development and am really looking forward to how her personality will continue to develop.
But anyway, I think that her new tough facade is mostly that - a facade. If Shepard went to her and asked something like "do you think the Protheans shared their parental leave equally" she would turn into her old self immediatly.
