Between working on stuff I can’t share, I sketched up a wardrobe for Reina and settled on her body proportions. Eventually I’ll finish this.19 Sept 2015: Once again, between working on stuff I can’t share, I did some more work on Reina’s wardrobe. Definitely won’t be able to do colors on this till much, much later, but here’s what it is so far. I tried giving her a different hairstyle with each outfit (with only twoish repeating) and for kicks a different facial expression with each outfit too.
25 Oct 2015: It's Sunday, so I get to draw/paint/color whatever I want. Got some headway on this done, mostly just mapping out the different layers with masks and the like before applying color.
27 Oct 2015: Tis done! Originally I was just going to play down flats and not bother with any textures or detailing on her skin... and then I did it anyway.

They all look good. I imagine you're given your character a full wardrobe here even without rearranging combinations of her clothing.

Something about you that has always impressed me is your ability to stay focused on one project for so long. I've attempted something like this before and couldn't stare at the computer/page for more than 3 outfits. Look at this!!!!!! O_O Not only that, but none of them are sloppy. Dang.

Well it helps that it didn't start out as a huge sheet. All I did was sketch the two initial poses, then copy them over twice to make a line of six. Then I did six outfits at a time, then inked them. I didn't move them all out into a large array until I was done. The best way to not get overwhelmed by a large project is to not look at it or think about it as a large project.
