ANNNNNNND DONE!To be updates as work is done. Right now I've only overlayed a grey and added in very rough guides for my light sources.
I'm hoping to keep everying very muted, in the mid to light grey tones, and steering very clear of the blacks, to hopefully give it a dusty feeling, and still give it all a feel of being in shadow, but without completely submersing it in black.

GRAW. the detail on this is absoloutely fantastic. I know that you know that I like it (YOU DAMN WELL BETTER, WOMAN) because we had the original up in the livingroom for so long, but the value study is just... WOW! it does indeed have a dusty, cluttered feel! Everything about this piece gives me the chills with how beautifully it has been rendered.

Wow, the dedication that must have gone into this is...just wow.
You definitely help set the bar for artists and drawing "backgrounds" in general.
As my illustrations teacher would put it, you can flat out draw. Everything is proportional to eachother and the foreground and background and the use of line thickness is perfect.
This is stunning! (And is kind of reminiscent of my own room, ehehheehhh...)

Well the original picture is drawn on vellum with ballpoint. Then I scanned the picture in and re-inked it almost two years later in Photoshop.
