"The other side they've looked at seemed so much brighter, so tempting, so revealing and so.. different"Those aren't any specific OC's of mine actually. I just wanted to make a new sort of a complex illustration, because obviously I am very interested in improving my skills and making my pictures 'deeper', challenging myself with BACKGROUNDS.. xD
BUT, BUT!
For this picture I wanted to give a special "THANK YOU" to ^^
She is simply awesome with drawing mystical creatures, especially Dragons of any kind ^___^ And she is my biggest model when it comes to drawing dragons!
Basically I've studied almost all of her pictures, stalking her gallery and stuff.... trying to get into the right mood for this picture and it helped me a LOT! : )
I know, my dragon looks like a 'horse' and definitely not as good as hers XD It's my very first one.. ;; w ;; So
I might have failed him/it/her/who cares, completely xD
But it was fun and I am very glad to have a model, like ;; w ;;

As far as challenging yourself with background you certain did an excellent job. One thing I have to point out though is the shading and highlights. Some areas are really great, like the skin, the colors are just right and don't look too dark or bright. But other areas like the dress look like it was done with the dodge tool. Don't get me wrong it does look like the right placement, but the colors in the highlights look really bright.
And I actually prefer your dragon to *Dracomin 's. Not that hers are bad, yours just has more style or something.
