I feel you buddy, but please cheer up. The best thing you can do for your childhood now is cherish it. Cherish it and use those memories to make the rest of your days good or even better. I don't know exactly how, but I feel it's the best you can do for yourself right now to be happy again.

I feel guilty that I'm just finding out now that this guy was the president of Nintendo and he died. But even though I didn't know about him, it still feels sad. Well thank you for the games, especially pokemon and Mario, and may you rest in peace.
...first Robin Williams, now this...
...2015...everything is changing...

"This fine old world keeps spinning around. Don't let the sad moments bring you down."
Thank you for everything you've done Mr. Iwata. You were one of few that changed the gaming experience in the whole world. Without you, Nintendo wouldn't be where it is now.
You may have not been just a CEO, nor just a game developer, but all of us - from childhood, to even up to adulthood - know otherwise, you were a gamer; a legend.
For us, we do not think you have died, rather, you have ended your game with a high score!
May we all see you again, in the next life.
Rest in Peace, Iwata-san.

I have to say thank you, Mr. Iwata for making my childhood fun with Pokemon Stadium, Super Mario 64, Paper Mario, Mario Party 1-4 and the Super Smash Bros. Series.
May you race down Rainbow Road and be blessed by Rosalina and Lady Palutania.

From a gamer to another I know how you feel. He helped make so many games. Kirby, Mario, Pokémon...those are games I played in my childhood and I always loved playing those games.
My friend this artwork is an awesome tribute. It came from the heart and soul. Satoru Iwata may be gone but he will never be forgotten.

I remember reading something that he found a way to compress the files of Pokemon Gold and Silver so that two regions could be in the one game. He really was an amazing person in Nintendo, both as a programer and as president. Even after two weeks I still can't believe he is dead...

We lost a friend, a leader, a fellow gamer. But to those characters he created...they lost a father. He inspired us, he made us laugh and cry and jump with joy. He was an amazing man, and his legacy will never be forgotten. May he rest in piece, and leave luck to heaven. And because this is my thing, just roll with it and take it as a sign of great respect. *Places sword on grave.*
BTW, if you see this around, it's because it's the only thing I could come up with. xD

So much of my childhood was sculpted by Satoru Iwata's work. It was thanks to him that playing through the Kanto region in Pokémon Gold and Silver was even possible. I'll especially miss his appearances in the Nintendo Direct videos. Why did he have to die? And of bile duct cancer, of all things? We'll never know. Though the man is gone, his legacy is immortal.

As a fellow Pokemon trainer..... I would do the same....
Pokemon Silver version was the first pokemon game I truly owned, it was the first game I got my Shiny Male Nidoran (which became a trend for me to always try to get a Shiny Nidoking in every game) and it was the first game I played when I got the Gameboy Advanced (This was before Gen 3 came out).
I would give up my champion title and give it to him..... It would be the right thing..... ;_;

I know i'm late to the party, i've been bouncing from tribute to tribute, why does it sting, then it hit me.
Like a ton of bricks, I put it to my online buddy through some tears.
