The most any Robin wold probably get out of Batman is a hand shake. Batman keeps himself emotionally shut off from the world so he won't have to deal with the grief of losing them. Probably the Most he ever felt about any Robin was regret for not being able to Jason Todd, and he response to that was to to try to stop recruiting Robins and become a darker more brutal batman. I don't even think he hugs his own son, Damian. Not that Damian would like that. That kid is equally if not more messed up than Batman.

In the comics? Different writers present different versions. Usually they are just friends. In some versions Batman right out kidnapped him,in others Bruce Wayne became the legal guardian.

They put Batgirl there first, because Robin was already in a different TV show at the time: Teen Titans. When that got canceled they decided to throw Robin in The Batman, I don't think they originally planned for him to be in there in the first place, to be honest.

Lol. I love our kitchen too. Like a year ago we painted it orange but that's all and this year we replaced the counter top with black and orange granite and we have a new tiled floor.
