Ahhh, there is surely the possibility to make a copy of the digital picture and to frame it. :-D

This is... amazing.
You have no clue how much I love this. I mean, just... just look at this! Look at all of it! The legs of the creatures are better then anything I've ever seen. I love how you did the angle, and the people in the distance is just beautiful. The shadows, the way the mountain crags reach through the clouds.
To me, it feels as though they're grasping for something.
This is so amazing.
I just...
Wow.

You're suffocating me with your thank you's!
But I meant it. It really is one of the most beautiful things I've seen. You better keep this up, or I'll... explode or something.

I love the monochrome feel of this, in spite of the opposing tones you used everywhere, the red and blue. I guess mathematically it makes sense. The perspective is pretty good, sort of a ground-level view, and because of the little depth, it seems it is at human-range as far as scope.
The creatures are just amazing, like something straight out of a Spielberg book. The legs are creepy and the ridges make it feel disgusting, like a roach! XD Anyway, that's just my perspective haha.
One thing that does not have harmony for me, is the transparency of the tree that is below the creature nearest to the viewer. The lunar shape of the branches don't really help the movement of the composition due to their angles, I feel.
Anyway, I really enjoyed your piece, and pondering about what world this is, and how the hell I got there.

Thanks so much for your thorough critique!
I used the red to indicate a sunset but still wanted to keep the overall cold and monochrome feel of the painting, so it´s cool it works! I`m glad you like the creatures so much too!
And you´re absolutely right about the tree ^^ When I started the painting, I didn´t have a snowy landscape in mind, but some kind of bleak meadows with some vegetation, and I just dived into the process very spontaneously, without thinking about the composition beforehand, and eventually the pic developed into what it is now, with the centre of focus lying on the creatures. The tree is something like a residue of the original idea, hence its rather transparent quality I had considered painting over it since it seemed a bit misplaced in the new setting, but I was afraid doing that would make the composition look too empty, and since I also had no idea what I could paint there instead (or how I could alter it to make it look good), I just left everything the way it was ^^ I`ll try to think the composition through more next time before starting a painting to avoid such distracting angles and elements though

It's now over seven thousand! And that's just the people that know how to use 9gag enough to follow the links here. And then there's the very very few that also have a DA account.
In any case, I faved and am off to constructively comment now :3

One thing I don't get it, this 9gag post is new but this paintings made in 2011. So, is that a new advertisement method, using 9gag? I am agreed with you, she deserves but only i'm in curious.

Nochmal vielen Dank!

I'm listening to "The Raven That Refused To Sing" by Steven Wilson right now. That beautiful song combined with this beautiful picture is complete perfection. Thank you so much!

Hah!
