Argh, you only got two views on it! You ARE a member of Getwatchers, right? I think that is where we met? If you're not - join If you are - add this to your artworks! It surely deserves more attention!
Not that I can ever write a long comment like your epic one yesterday, but I can try to describe how much I like this, at least. There are so many perfect details, The shadowing and the technique is so great, but that isn't what makes this so appealing, it's more the light in the middle of the picture. My favourite part is still the compas, it makes sense and it's beautiful.
This kind of reminds me of a Tarot card, same style, same feeling, which is a very positive thing <3 This was surely worth waiting for, and it improved, even though I couild tell this was gonna be great when I saw the first version ;D

Haha, I guess I submitted it at an adverse time, ´cause I even had more views on all the crappy versions before Yeah, I`m member there - I remember you commented on Golem, and then I clicked through the profiles of some people who commented, and one of them was you and - aah, the memories!!
I will add this, I also already added protection And the light in the middle is what I like best, too! Fun that it reminds you of tarot, that´s what my mum said, too, just the same!! She said it reminded her of the hanged man, in a right way up version I think with this piece I improved quite a bit, on one hand I expanded my patience, and also my skills, I think The pictures I`m planning now will tend in the same stylistical direction, though they´ll be a bit more concrete, maybe. Ar, I want to make so many things! I already know that my next small painting will be called Damocles, and I`m afraid it will take me even longer than this one But I`m looking forward to it, though!
And I also feel like painting some mthological and maybe also religiously inspired pictures, then I (finally!!) want to get to draw something with coal, I´ve found a great picture that perfectly suits this medium, and I already got permission to draw it And then I also want to translate my short story, write more on both of my long stories ... Ahh, two weeks will never be enough to do all this But well, I`ll try to make as much as I can! Now I`ll first of all finally shoot the figures, send them to you, and then reply on your other comment!

That IS really weird, that was just what I was thinking at first, the hanged man, but then figured, no it differs a lot, but the style is definitely there! That is really cool. Your skills do seem to be improving even though I never doubted them for a second
Damocles? You seem to have a lot of plans, that is supernice to hear! I can't wait to see the figures and all, I am really exited to see if it's something maybe I can do, too, even of course, you know, not as well - but practise!

Yay! I found it online, it's really cheap and I definitely want to buy it and try it ut - there seem to be both soft and hard versions, which would be easier for a beginner, I wonder?
Oh, a dead cat walking does NOT sound like something I want to witness. But it's always awesome to witness another believer. <3

Oh, I am already feeling nervous about messing it up, haha I was never any good with clay, like I told you :/
I started a new painting! Yay! In the same style as the last one I am also writing my last little schoolthing, which is just what I want to say at the last exam. I have to speak for 10 minutes
Yeah, lol, I am thinking Stephen Kings Pet Cemetery at once, lol. A dead cat walks there, it's SO creepy :/
A cat that the kids really love dies, and when their father hears about an Indian Pet Cemetery, a place where you can bury the animal and it will come back to you that night - alive - he decides to do just that. He is getting warnings from the guy who showed him the cemetery, but pays no mind. The kids think the cat has gotten weird, and he soon finds out, it's not the same cat inside. It also smells like death.
And then the scariest thing happens: his little son is hit by a car. And the father thinks - if it could bring back the cat ... *ARGH*

This is then my exam in the ADHD assignment. I have to speak 10 minutes about the parts that I wrote, or some of that. We work like that, don't know if you do too, but we write something, then defend it orally. So I tried it lots of times before, and hate it obviously, lol, but it will be fine
YAY! The Green Mile! Isn't it incredible that he wrote it by part? I forgot the English word of course, but I remember already telling you how he wrote first part, then published it, then wrote second etc.

Yeah, but I mean, the writing part is finished, then? Well, we´re having something similar to this, too, it´s called GFS, which is the German shortcut for equivalent assessment of pupils` accomplishments (Yeah, it´s weird! ) These are the presentations I`ve always been talking about, the one I did in literature class, the one I`ll be doing in art class (Yay, so much looking forward to exhibiting my stuff!! ), but we mainly only have to present (except for some Chemistry teachers wanting an 8-pages-long text about alchemy -.- ... Meh.) In the Abitur we won´t have to write something either, we´ll just have to indicate three topics for the subject we chose, and then one week before the presentation will be, some teachers will choose which topic one has to deal with in the end
Yeah, and the great thing about the Green Mile is that one doesn´t notice where one part starts and the other one ends!

Yes, that is done! Mm, the german way sounds much better than writing 50 pages, but then, now I can say I've done it, lol, and believe me, people WILL hear about it, lol
I feel like reading the green mile again, now, lol, just thinking about it But no time The new book in my favorite series (Preston & Child) is coming out this august so I'm like YAY!
Btw, can only small things be made out of fimo? Or also a little bigger, like normal clay?

I don´t know if you told me, but sounds cool! Argh, I`ve started working on my new painting now, but I`m not satisfied with how it looks so far at all, will have to start again - but thanks to the signpost I know how to handle failures better, and I know sometime I WILL succeed I think this time I just wasn´t focused and motivated enough, and just wanted to "have it started" :/ Now I think I`ll write a bit tonight, I totally feel like it! Btw, I`m thinking about submitting the closeup version of both my silk hand (one of the photos I shot the day before I had to give it away is actually totally okay, I don´t know why I didn´t like it in the first place) and a closeup version of the signpost, but I know it´s actually not necessary ... How´s your painting evolving? I`m so curious!!

LadyChristina In reply to Yordaniella [2011-06-13 19:23:09 +0000 UTC]
No, well, I know THAT feeling all too well. That is my problem also, wanting everything to look perfectly like I want it. So my painting is going fine actually, the fear of failure isn't so strong anymore, although it's there, it's just working on something you don't really know what is, strange!
Anyway, this is on canvas, so it will be awhile before it's done.
I also don't think you should quit yours, keep on working and see what happens
and if you want to post more pics, do it! It doesn't have to be necessary, and I for one would love to see them

Okay, I`ll try with layers! (I continued working on this version yet again ) At the moment I think the picture has something about it, but it doesn´t show improvement to the signpost at all, which had actually been my aim :/ Also I love the idea so much that I want this to be really great in the end, so ... ah, we´ll see - scraps still is a section, isn´t it! Yeah, the groups ... The one I applied for members is a group for illustration, and this is basically where I want my art to go in the future, kind of I don´t expect to be successful, though, `cause stupid me first applied for members and then browsed through the amazing ( !!!) gallery So I added to my request that I could fully understand them declining me for now, but so far nothing happened and one member has already been accepted since I applied - will have to wait some more But I`m patient (Not really, this time )

I shall remind you again, don't worry, especially if you need it, I just hate when people push too much, but interest is really nice!
Ah, Traditional-Media. That is the group who rejected me once, remember how pissed I was? Many times, even. They now accepted three of my paintings, but to say they are fair wouldn't be right. They aren't looking for talent or a good painting, but the two mentioned qualities in certain ways that fit their taste.
It usually takes them a week to respond. Approximately. Whether they say yes or no.
Ahh, thanks for the info on illustration! ;D

Yay! another long comment from you! I will save it till after I eat, just to be able to read it thoroughly
Haha, I laughed out loud at creepy and unfriendly. No, I liked the old avatar, but then I do love this one too, so I will get used to it.
My avatar, that is River Phoenix, may he rest in peace, and I would love a new one as much as I love him, which showed my art. But I don't know how to make them, so it will have to wait.
