I would consider them to be werecats. For some reason I can imagine Lion-O being friends with Clawd Wolf from the Monster High franchise (I don't why, I just do).

Well I did try to make it look a bit like the actual style, but mostly my style just seems to look like that anyway. My style is inspired a lot by Avatar the Last Airbender, and the new Thundercats style reminds me a lot of Avatar, so that could be it.
