Dissidia 012 Duodecim made me realise how officially cool Lightning was. Square allowed Lightning to lead yet another group of characters, some of whom were more popular and well-established than she was. And Lightning pulled it off!When I heard this dialogue, I had to chuckle. DOES THIS GIRL KNOW NO FEAR?? Then I saw some pretty, pretty scenes, and this random idea popped up. I would've saved myself the trouble and used the awesome screenshot, but it was too blurry, so I redrew it. I figured out the painting technique this time! Am so happy.

i loved the scene as well and this is a great redraw i never played any of the 13 games but after playing duodecim i loved lightning but damn that ending! >< they gave it there all like true badasses!

Badassery: Lightning Farron has achieved it <3 I love Lighty-Bear so much <3 Such an amazing character with an amazing story and backstory <3 Her greatest motivation is not for herself but for her sister that she had to raise and protect like a parent. I love looking at pictures of her and listening to "To Zanarkand" from the FF-X soundtrack XD That song is truly beautiful though whether it was from a game or not. And in all honesty it fits her so well. Even more so than her actual theme in my opinion.

I'm -so- sorry for taking forever to reply. Yes, what draws me to Light is her selfless motivation, not only for her sister but everyone under her care -- even Snow if it comes to that (if she doesn't throttle him first). She is a true guardian, and I love it when she demonstrates that. Thanks for directing me to 'To Zanarkand'. I can imagine it for Lightning: despite her cold and hard exterior, she exudes warmth and wishes peace for those she loves, even if she has to fight for it... also, the peacefulness of the song is what we hope for her to find in her long journey, a relief from all the turmoil she must bear. *cues Vanille*
