A drawing of the main character, Madeline, from the game Celeste. My.... God... I can NOT recommend this game enough. Got it as a birthday gift(November 18th)Β to myself,I love it so much. Such a beautiful game, and heart wrenching story of overcoming internal challenges. 100% a MUST BUY!PLEASE BUY IT!

An exuberant tribute like this calls for a Celeste-bration.
...Madeline is quite the unassuming type, with me thinking Celeste was actually the name of the character herself. We got us a Zelda-esque situation on our hands. xP

Or even better of an example..... that robot "man" named Metroid. :v It's easy to assume a female main character would be assumed to share the same name as the title that is commonly used as a female name. At least with Link, you can question if it's his name or not since Zelda is typically a female's name..... and Metroid isn't even a common name so you don't know what to expect. :T
Anyways... this is definitely her from later in the game. She starts off with determination, but unsureness and doubt in herself. Later learns how to deal with her struggles, and presses on with full optimism. (which by that time, she has pink hair. :T ) Anyways, again... thanks dewd. :m

That's true, that was one big 'say what' moment back then for a lot of gamers. Would've loved to have seen a live stream of someone from way back then discovering Samus was a female the whole time. Didn't have the technology back then, haha.
I definitely think you handled her design well enough, from the little bits I have seen from the game's screenshots and trailers. It's a nice feeling when a character can feel relateable and become someone you really want to root for in their journey going forward.
