Welcome, the new mascot for NERF...... Bayonetta! LOLz. :vFor sure anyone who pays attention to competitive SSB4, plays at tournaments, or plays on For Glory as much as I do would have seen this coming... but to make a patch JUST to nerf Bayonetta, and not touch any of the other characters? Wow... that's actually a little ridiculous. :m But, as ridiculous as that is... I think it was a fair thing to do, to stop Bayonetta from having the ability to "0 to death" people with her ladder combos (using chains of Witch Twist, Forward-air, and Downward-Afterburner Kicks)... Not that I ever used them, or could, anyway...
Love her, or hate her... you get what the complainers asked for. :mΒ

So...lemme get this straight. You mean the character doesn't make ratings but the content does? You mean if they add...I don't know, LITERAL MASTER CHIEF in the game, the rating still stays as an E? And I suppose that if Mario curses just once, the whole entire game turns into a big rated M. It just doesn't make sense.

It makes PERFECT sense, actually. That's how ratings work. Like.... they tell you right on the back of the box.
Like if a game has Suggestive Themes, Blood and Gore, and Use of Drugs or Alcohol or things along those lines.... they usually are M rated.
Also.... swearing at all doesn't instantly turn it to M rating. There are E10 rated games that say Hell, and T rated games that say Shit. How the curses determine the rating depends on vulgarity and frequency.

A lot of people say that Bayonetta ruined smash 4 because of how overpowered she was. I mean yeah she was annoying to fight but I wouldn't say she ruined the game; plus I enjoyed playing as her and was one of my secondary mains and a patch just to nerf Bayonetta is just stupid. The reason she was a combo heavy character is because her game had a lot of combos you could do and I liked how Sakurai implemented that into the game. Plus the hate she got for winning the ballot is also stupid. So what if character didn't win the ballot, there's always next time. I voted for Lana(from Hyrule Warriors) and she didn't win and you don't see me complaining about it. I really wish the smash community could be mature about things.

Don't you mean Fan communities in general? Sure not all FANS of a fandom are bad, but there are bad eggs in all fandoms that become a vocal nuisance, and bring shame to the very thing they're fans of. Like how people sent death threats and insults to Sakurai cuz they didn't make Waluigi a playable fighter in Smash before Daisy. Feel as you wish on the matter... People are free to oppose and have their own opinions, but when you start harassing people..... even the developer of the series...... that's where it's simply ridiculous.
As far as Bayonetta goes..... I used her A LOT. Loved her in Smash, and loved her games. I wasn't a fan cuz she was a "broken character" who I needed to use to win tourneys... I been a fan, and was impressed with how she made it in, and how she played.
