Both Leone and Amethyst are very laid back and tomboy-ish characters who act as the cool sisters of their respective groups (The Crystal Gems and Night Raid) which were formed as rebel groups to fight against an almost totalitarian corrupt authority (The Great Diamond Authority from Gem Homeworld and The Empire) and defend the innocent from the government's harsh ways and the environments caused by it

They can be hot headed and even have tunnel vision when fighting others which can lead to them taking horrible/unessesary damage (Like how Amethyst was poofed by Jasper in their fight when she let Jasper's words get to her or how she got surprise attacked by a corrupted gem and Leone having her arm cut off by Kurome when she was too focused on corpse Rokgough) but they are able to power through and heal those injuries with their regenerative abilities (Gems are able to reform after being poofed given enough time and Leone gains a minor healing factor from Lionel that helped reattach her arm with the aid of Lubbock's Teigu, Cross Tail)

Even though they do act goofy and cheerful alot of the time they can get serious when they need to be, whether its during a fight that they know is serious or when they need to snap some sense into their friends
