Correct, just some prismacolor markers and pens, But here's the weird thing: my style has been influenced by the mangaka himself, so it gets really awkward when I draw Naruto.
It's as if the character is a pinch away from looking like he was drawn by his creator, but rather off. I really tried to keep his collar consistent too.

I too love that quality in texture markers give. You see it a lot in Kishimoto's work.

haha yes, i remember you mentioning that years ago . i see he's still your #1 inspiration!
and yeah, it's a real nice compliment to have them confused with the works of the mangaka himself
but well, if you draw non-naruto characters in his art style, i bet it's a nice touch to them.. sort of like.. the mangaka himself drew them too
i bet it's flattering.

i have a favorite artist who loves using markers as well. his drawings are extremely detailed and his coloring with markers is amazing. (he's an official Transformers comic artist.) markerguru.deviantart.com/

Oh man, to be able to draw mechs on a hand to paper scale... Amazing line work he has. He's also apparently a fan of Kishi too.
Comic book artists and mangaka seem to have very refined hands when it comes to applying their work to a physical canvas. There's this level of ingenuity to it. 
Check this out. Look at those crosshatches. I want to be as refined.
