Description
This week, we were given a list of exotic animals from The Animal Atlas by Barbara Taylor and Kenneth Lilly. The first assignment was to pick your favorite animal from the list, and create a character based on it, complete with a brief bio explaining the character's personality, age, tics, etc.
(In the instruction video, D.B. pointed to the solenodon and said, "This is the one that interests me the most." How providential; that was also the one that interested me the most!)

After that, we did a 180º head turnaround and five head drawings of our respective characters.

This was a fun assignment, and I'm proud of the results! D.B. liked the results, too; his only real critique for me was to make the character's snout a bit closer to that of the original animal to make his species easier to identify, and that the grumpy and disgusted emotions look a little too similar.

Hugo the Solenodon belongs to...me?! (Damn, does it feel good to type that again.)
