(also FYI: I don't count the thumb as a finger since it technically isn't one. Sorry if this led to any confusion. He has only 3 fingers and one thumb on his right hand.)

James Doohan served in the Royal Canadian Artillery and was accidently shot by another ally who was nervous about the upcoming attack, the man shot six rounds at Doohan: four in his leg, one in his leg, and one straight through his middle finger. The only reason he didn't die from the bullet in his chest was because he had a silver cigarette case in his top pocket that stopped the bullet.

Yep yep. James Doohan was a WWII veteran,He lost his middle finger. but actually he has 4 i think. They did do a very god job of hiding it, this and an episode in season 2 called 'Catspaw' are the only times ive ever caught it.

Yes indeed! Once when I was 13, I had a bunch of rum and cokes and puked...
Then last year I drank a whole bottle of rum in 30 mins, blacked out and puked everywhere... I like rum, but I need to be careful with it. lol
