Something I wanted to draw for my OCs Venom and Rave .

Rave's story got a happy ending, but for some reason I had to draw the angst instead. There's more info on their TH bios, since I don't really feel like typing it out again, but the basics are:

(Trigger Warnings: Abuse, experimentation)

Rave is a siren (and mer); he had an absurd amount of confidence, due in part to his extremely bright coloration (that's kinda a thing among mers in his world, like with a lot of creatures), and Venom views himself as a bit of a 'scientist' studying the world; but Venom's 'science' is really just his way of being able to cause pain in the name of 'greater knowledge'. He ended up turning his sights to Rave, and slowly convinced him that he was 'too good' for all his friends and family, and once Venom was Rave's only support in the world, he slowly started to show his true colors. He did a lot of his 'experiments' on Rave (starting with some pretty awful psychological stuff and eventually graduating to physical) and Rave felt he had no choice but to stay with him, kept trying to convince himself that Venom loved him. But those bright colors of his were slowly fading away due to the stress and pain of what he was being put through.

Rave did eventually meet Drai , who pretty much saw through all of that and helped Rave get away from Venom, so the story did have a happy ending; but like I said, for some reason I wanted to draw the angst.
