So Fanboys out there, who of you would have thought that out of all enigmatic Dinosaurs Deinocheirus would become the new Super-Predator? Feels like a giant Turkey making love with your childhood, right? Muahahahaha.

Edit: Now in colour.

I highly doubt it was much of a predator. Newer findings have been more given light to the public

The skull was supposedly found, and it looks like this
4.bp.blogspot.com/-S5-7dozCUCc…
That is more of a toothless, ducklike skull.

However, considering the lack of teeth it does not appear to be an animal capable of eating the tough plants that likely dominated its environment. I personally believe it had a diet similar to that of modern ducks:
birding.about.com/od/birdfeede…
As in it likely fed on small fish, aquatic plants, insects, perhaps some frogs and/or primitive mammals.

Irony of this image is that if anything, deinocheirus was highly paranoid of tarbosaurus hunting it down and not vice-versa.

Ironically, it seems it wasn't a herbivore after all.

“They don’t – there is no comparison. Deinocheirus would have them sliced and diced and ready for breakfast before they knew it. This is now THE mega-theropod of the Mesozoic.”

But yeah, it's a joke.

I'm so confused. Is that link a joke too? This is the second time I've heard of this.

According to Albertonykus there is a skull in a European collection that isn't the one that was stolen. He said it was complete enough to know that it was "weird", but he can't say much because he heard it from Holtz.

Na klar, aber der hier ist frei erfunden.^^
Was ich weiß ist, dass der Schädel groß ist.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RickRaptor105 In reply to yoult [2013-11-04 11:51:24 +0000 UTC]
