I like your depiction, it's nicely done. The speculative integument/ornamentation looks very natural to me, especialy the nasal "crest".

I suspect the scaled stetching up around the base of the plates would be as fine-graded as the rest of the scales on the body. Integument isn't preserved well for stegosaurs, so I'd think the pebbly structure we assume for them would be fine. The plates are covered in some tissues, likely a close-fitting keratin sheath, but the skin around the base is thicker, more glabrous (full of connective tissue), and likely similar to the base of deer antlers.
