Personality: Yamikani is anything but careful. She's brash, reckless, and thinks little of what her future might hold. She takes life one day at a time and doesn't think of the consequences of her actions. She isn't one to take charge in most situations and would rather let someone else do all the work that comes with power. She is quite friendly and outgoing, willing to greet strangers and talk to lions normally ignored. Her temper is quite short, and if someone is doing something she doesn't like she'll gladly let them know.

She has a fear of abandonment, and hates being left alone for too long. At times she can seem a bit clingy or demanding, but she means well. Yamikani adores cubs, and loves to teach or watch over the young members of her pride. Despite this, she really doesn't want any of her own for the foreseeable future, and unless the right lion comes along she might stay this way her entire life.
History: Yamikani was born into the pride to an average huntress alongside four other cubs. She isn't quite sure who her father is, as her mother mated with several different males in her heat and isn't quite sure who it is herself. Yamikani was the only cub in her litter to survive into adolescence, which didn't help calm her recklessness one bit. Swimming in the waterholes, chasing after prey herds, and exploring anywhere she wanted was how she spent her entire youth. Her siblings were very shy and careful, and they all ended up succumbing to sickness or just plain bad luck, so Kani took this as a sign to live life to the fullest.

As she approached adulthood she began functioning as a regular lioness in the pride. Her mother taught her to hunt as soon as possible, and once she was sure Kani could fend on her own and abandoned the pride to live with a wandering rogue who managed to charm the older lioness. Yamikani integrated well into pride society, and enjoys the hunts and patrols she gets to participate in. She participates in hunts as often as possible and fends off any potential threats as best as she can. Her loyalty is unwavering, and she would do anything and everything for their king.
