Description There are only two good reasons of being sick: you can stay all day in pyjamas and have some extra time to finish old drawings.

After I saw "Inception" (for me it`s the greatest movie ever ) Leonardo di Caprio (yeah, I`m not really good at capturing physical features) was my personal discover. Of course, all actors were brilliant, but I have no idea why Leo sticked in my head. I saw him in some other movies before, but those roles dind`t leave such a powerful impression like in "Inception". Then I downloaded and watched "Blood Diamond " ,"The Departed" and I really enjoyed these too.
So this is why I decided to dedicate a pencil portrait to him.

I don`t remember when the last time I drew so much folds in graphite. It was fun


Mechanical pencils (0,5mm and 0,9mm) and some random ordinary graphite pencils on A3 sheet of paper.

What I love the most about this drawing (besides the obvious ) is your incredibly detailed handling of textures. There are plethoria of details and textures even on the window in the background! I think, however, that the shading in the left half of his face, on the chin, to be exact, is a bit too much. Or may be it was supposed to be like that by the reference image? I`m curious to see it, is it a screencap?
On 'Inception' - a masterpiece. I`ve never seen such a complex, but logical, almost mathematical movie in my entire life. Now that it was nominated for Oscar, I hope it will win the award! It`s the best movie in the last 10 years, if you ask me. And I felt the same way about Leo, I thought he was just a sweetish Jack-from-'Titanic' type, but after this movie I totally changed my mind.

Great job!
Leo is awesome, he got glued to his Titanic image and worked hard to escape it, great actor.
For me it's one of my favorite movies too, made me cry and also wish for such awesome dream-filled future.
