I just thought of something. In attack on titan, the titan appear one day after humanity has showed up. In rwby, the grimm show up after humans go. There's some sort of link between titans and humans in AoT we have yet to understand. Possible connection between humanity and grimm as well?
I just realized something. A bunch of successful stuff is based around things that are, or caused by, the worst of humanity. Code Gease, war. Bleach, souls losing their hearts, something that could be said as what holds back the evil in us. Kingdom Hearts, the same pretty much, except add in experimentation and greed. Death Note, a character with good intentions turned evil by the darkness of human nature. All of it caused by the worst of every single one of us.
