April May is the wildcard of the Reapettes. She follows the beat of her own drum and does her own thing or at least what she thinks is best. While she occasionally struggles to follow her team, she proves a useful member with her high spirits and optimism. She may be sensitive and easily scared, but she never gives up and she remains loyal to her friends, even as she's quaking. April is a ray of sunshine in the darkness. She has a very innocent personality, making her the least likely person in the world you would expect to be a grim reaper! She's too much of a cinnamon roll! However she's incredibly naive and gullible, often doing and believing what people tell her with few to no questions asked, even when she's scared to do something. April has ADHD, causing her to be easily distracted and full of energy. Because of this April often acts younger than she really is, but she's never rude or bratty, just annoying or ditzy at worst. But there's no denying she's a caring and friendly girl who has a lot of love to share with the world.

She enjoys singing, cheerleading, watching old animated movies, and cooking. She also adores the animals of both the living and dead worlds, even the most demonic creatures she seems to find sympathy for unless they're extremely dangerous. She is the most easily scared out of the Reapettes and sometimes refuses to fight demons if she's too scared. She's easily panicked when alone and a bit of a crybaby. She is very sweet but her naivety and doe-eyed demeanor can be frustrating. When gathering up bravery to fight demons, she often resorts to childish insults and not directly fighting enemies but rather tricking them into damaging themselves or luring them into traps. She relies heavily on her team, but she's not a burden to them at all. She's supportive, helpful, and while she can be craven, she knows what's right and does her best to protect those in need. She can also selfless, putting her friends before herself and opening her heart out to others.

April has a pure moral compass and believes in the good of everyone. She wants everyone to reach for that good inside them, even if that good will never surface. She's always helping her friends reach their best selves, encouraging them to follow their passions and she supports them throughout whatever they wish to do. And while is often scared of her job, she braves through it due to her connection to her friends. She feels a sense of belonging with the Reapettes and Death and does her best to make them not only happy but also tries to help them be their best selves. She views Death as a nice man, like a teacher or friend of sorts. She likes learning from and listening to Death and is often telling him everything she loves about life. Death finds April charming, but he can be put off by her recklessness. Regardless, April is an engaging, loving, and lively girl whose love of life helps her protect the dead.
