Description

Some time has passed since the gifted student Florian set off across Paldea in search of adventure. They have both challenged and been challenged by many a trainer and Pokémon up to this point, but nevertheless has managed to emerge victorious on each occasion. Yet despite all of their victories, there is one pair of opponents the young man has faced that were so… unique… that they will more than likely never find equals for.

As luck would have it though, the trainer happened to find himself meeting this unusual duo again by sheer coincidence and challenged them to a battle.

*Presses A button to talk in silent protagonist.*

Hiker: “We’ve got to stop running into each other like this. It’s starting to become a regular thing. *Tee-hee.~*”

Courier: “Well you know how it is. I’ve got deliveries to make and if it means passing through a place like this, I suppose it’s only natural to find you hiking out here too. Hey, speaking of running into each other. How are you doing trainer?”

You are challenged by Courier Lane and Hiker Montana.*

-DOUBLE BATTLE START-

Courier’s team: Naclstack, Magnemite

Hiker’s team: Chansey, Smoliv

-BATTLE END, TRAINER WINS-

Hiker: “That was fun! Nothing gets me in the mood for some hiking like a bit of competition.”

Courier: “Competition you say? Hey, you wanna race up the rest of the trail then? My next delivery is up that way.”

*Presses A again to talk.*

Courier: “I’ve been running into her a lot lately on my deliveries. It’s kinda nice to have someone to talk to so regularly. Also, you think I have a chance with her? Er… Winning this race I mean.”

Hiker: “He’s the nicest delivery man I’ve ever met. I’m actually pretty glad I get to see him on these hikes. He doesn’t even seem to mind the fact that I’m as tall as I am. What about my height? Oh well I’ve just hit a couple of late growth spurts recently. No big deal.”

*Proceeds to leave and explore the rest of the area.*

So with the trainer now gone and the two battling partners left alone, they proceeded with their little race and hurried down the dusty trail. Unsurprisingly, the 17ft+ tall woman won but not without the ordinary sized man keeping pace better than one might have expected. While catching their breath the two shared a quick laugh before walking the rest of the short way to the nearby outdoor Pokémon Center. Once the courier completed his delivery to said facility and the pair had their Pokémon healed, they sat down to relax with some refreshments.

“Boy that’s good. These little things sure do hit the spot.” The large woman pepped up after downing a bottle in one gulp. “But you didn’t need to pick up my tab Lane. You know I’m good for it.”

“It’s alright Tana. You did win the race after all so it only seems fair.” The delivery man admitted with a smile and a shrug. “Besides, you offered to share some Poké-chow with Bricks earlier so it’s the least I can do to pay you back.”

“Okay, if you say so…. Cheers to the hole in your wallet then!” Montana jested while raising up another bottle into the air.

“Hey now big girl, my generosity only goes so far. Don’t think you’re gonna get off the hook for buying drinks next time when I win.” Lane grinned back while toasting his bottle up against his giant companion’s.

“*Tee-hee* Looking forward to it then.” The giantess delighted as the two continued to chat.

The pair didn’t quite know it at the time but they were slowly but surely becoming more than just friends…

It may have taken awhile but here’s the second outing with these two. I know the story is a bit shorter than the first one but since I didn’t need to set anything up, I kinda just wanted to do a simple bit this time. With the next one I should have something lengthier but you’ll just have to stick around and see. A big hiker lady sized thanks to Svenyatta for doing another great job on this commission. Oh also, I’ve got another semester of college approaching so I might go quiet for a bit. I’ll see if I can’t squeeze out a few things here and again but not promises. See y’all at the next one.
