Nadiia, you have a very delicate illustrative style, and competent digital technique -- which is one reason I initially decided to watch you on DA. Based on the general sensitivity of your work I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you don't realize that many of the peoples originally indigenous to the Americas -- native Americans, what in the past were referred to as American Indians -- and those who are aware and sympathetic of their history would find this and the photograph it references as an example of "cultural appropriation" and offensive to their culture. If you are not familiar with that term, I would ask you to research it, and then give serious consideration to removing this image from your gallery.

Who are you again? Sorry the artist didn't expect to get a cultural-nazi on their case for something so stupid. Who are you to say that person isn't native american? Just a fyi Because many Native Americans today have had one or more European-Americans or African-Americans among their ancestors, numerous people who are legally and culturally Native American may look fairer or darker than Mongolian peoples or may have markedly non-Mongolian facial features.

it's really not a "stupid" issue... it can and does cause a lot of problems. the girl in this painting could very well be mixed, but seeing as everything was under the artist's control in this painting i would have recommended making her skin tone a bit darker just so that this problem wouldn't come up. i would also recommend everyone here to look into cultural appropriation and how it does indeed hurt people.
