A banana dragon! Inspired by my breakfast one day. I was trying to use real life objects around me as inspiration. So I had this banana, and was determined to make a dragon out of it!Related content

I like the idea of this picture a lot. Here on DA is an awful lot of dragons, therefore it seems impossible to draw/paint something original in this topic. But here we are

It's not about interesting ideas, it's about if you want to do it or not. If you want to do an idea, but it seems like a common idea everybody else has done already, do it anyway.Ā

This design is just fabulous, the frills work perfectly and the yellow with the brown dots makes it look very tropical and with a lot of character!

Hey there!
This didn't start out with any concept other than "I'm going to make some dragons". That idea then got pulled along by my personal preference for plant life, and humorous and cute things. So while looking around for ideas, I saw an old banana I was supposed to eat for breakfast, and just went with that.Ā
Ironically, usually when I start with a serious concept all figured out with back story and stuff, the image production often becomes constipated. So if you don't have to, just go and make stuff for fun and forget about concepts.Ā
