“Don’t you just love Christmas and December?” Blaine said and turned to Mike who sat next to Tina.

“Of course I do!” Tina chimed in.

She rarely said anything in school, but Blaine had met them one weekend at the mall and he had realized that she was just extremely shy at McKinley.

Kurt wasn’t there yet but he arrived just as Blaine was about to continue talking. Kurt felt the rush of air as Blaine jumped out of his seat and pressed his lips against his own. Closing his eyes, he leaned into it shortly before pulling away.

“What was that about?” he asked curiously.

“It’s December, Kurt.” Blaine answered and took his hands to pull him over to the chairs next to Tina and Mike.

“Right, I know, it’s the first. And?”

Blaine looked at him questioningly.

“It’s December. Christmas-time, remember?” He looked at him with a teeth-flashing smile and his huge hazel eyes bore into the bright blue ones of his boyfriend.

“That’s what all this fuss is about? I thought it was something more… important.” It was no secret that Kurt wasn’t religious and did, in fact, think of Christmas as just another way the industry tried to make money out of an old tradition.

“It’s just so commercialized.” He said and immediately felt 3 pairs of eyes on him - he wasn’t sure if he shouldn’t better go and hide somewhere until this madness was over.

“But it’s all about peace and love!” Tina said while Blaine nodded eagerly.

“And presents!” Mike added with a big smile.

“And presents.” Blaine repeated and winked at his boyfriend.

“All I see in Christmas is a lot of turkey, gingerbread and the great opportunity to get diabetes and overweight at the same time.” Kurt muttered under his breath but Blaine seemed to have overheard him.

“Look, it’s our first Christmas together - as a couple, and I just want it to be special, okay? Blaine asked.

Feeling his heart and resistance melt as he looked at the curly haired boy in front of him, he nodded and sat down next to Blaine.

If Blaine kept smiling the way he did right now through all of December, then maybe this time Kurt could really find himself a new favorite holiday.
