What if the fonts got humanised? Tintin and Asterix style? Well this would be the result.

From Left to right:
Wide Latin
Old English MT
Rage Italic
Courier New
Stencil

This is my first time uploading some human picture, I don't know if it is good, but I've tried to make the personality fits in

Next up in the list is Times new Roman, Play Bill, Wingdings, and French Script MT. Probably others like Country House and Jokerman.

One interesting thing about Stencil, is that I once designed a humanised Flippy and it resembles something close like that, minus the cigar and the helmet (exchange for a beret)

So... Feedback please? And do it hard if you want to

Good work with the humans! For gothic font I would have expected a Gothic barbarian from Goscinny and Uderzo's Asterix.

You're on the money! The design would be similar to the Goths in Asterix

MLP FiM grows on you in a way you don't expect it to. Nothing more to say about it.

You did humanized figures better then I thought you would. You've obviously have been practicing.

They got me, I guess mostly on their personalities and the animation style. The plot is also enjoyable, although I have to say 4 or 5 of them isn't really my cup of tea What about you? What's your favourite aspect of it?

Drawing humans are quite painful since the start, I've been practicing with this for a while after trying to move up from some of the simpler designs. Trust me, you would laugh seeing those hilariously bad practice drawings

Wow, you can draw humans!
Sorry I can't give any feedback because I myself not good with humans...
maybe I should try to draw one too, but my humans kinda influenced by anime/manga style....

Yudhaikeledai In reply to catkitte [2011-08-29 00:52:42 +0000 UTC]

Draw humans.. In a style least expected of a DeviantArt Artist
I've fallen in love with Herge's style of drawing as well as Goscinny and Uderzo's style. Its their over-exaggeration designs as well as solid expressions that I really like. I decided to adopt their style of drawing for me drawing humans So here I decided to practice it a bit, all for the aim of putting variety as well as learning new things

Well what are you planning to humanise? I'll take a look at it when you done it

catkitte In reply to Yudhaikeledai [2011-08-29 00:56:47 +0000 UTC]

I think I'm gonna humanize... myself I mean, Cat.
(and probably ponify her too O3O)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Yudhaikeledai In reply to catkitte [2011-08-29 00:59:53 +0000 UTC]

Hahahaha! I'll be looking forward to seeing it

The ponies... FINALLY GOT YOU TOO?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽‽

catkitte In reply to Yudhaikeledai [2011-08-29 01:10:37 +0000 UTC]

NOT THAT WELCOME!!!!!! (ouch, you just stabbed me in the heart again)
as I said before, I'm 40% lover and 60% hater now. Actually I just do it for the lulz. And see how Cat hates so much to be ponified.

Honestly, I'm in love with some gory MLP:FiM fanfics. Such as "Cupcakes" and "Sweet Apple Massacre". I dunno, I just loooove seeing ponies killing each other maybe 'cause I hate them so much.

Yudhaikeledai In reply to catkitte [2011-08-29 01:17:11 +0000 UTC]

Stab you in the heart? Does that mean blood is pouring out of you at this moment as we speak?
Hate? Shall I fire the orbital friendship cannon now? (just kidding, don't take this seriously, I'm not one of those crazed bronies who shoved everything they had when they detect hate )
Well just like my character hating to be ponified, except that it is more on personality reasons (he hated horses)

Hmmmm... Have you came across... Heartwarming Fanfics of MLP before?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

catkitte In reply to Yudhaikeledai [2011-08-29 01:25:19 +0000 UTC]

Heartwarming? Do you mean like 'normal' fanfic?
hmm... I think I did. It's "Past Sins". My brony friend told me this but I just take a short look at the prologue and seeing the rest that it's TOO DARN LONG and then... I didn't read it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Yudhaikeledai In reply to catkitte [2011-08-29 01:28:18 +0000 UTC]

No, haunting but emotional. I came upon one but I guess 40-60 love-hate ratio is not really a good ratio to like this fanfic I'm referencing
TL;DR
Oh well, you know? I just somehow think... Why are we discussing about ponies when this is a human picture

catkitte In reply to Yudhaikeledai [2011-08-29 01:32:39 +0000 UTC]

I don't like reading english novels, I prefer short stories.

Oh you're right. My bad

I did't know you drew humans
Maybe you can do one for veranda and times new roman, maybe

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Yudhaikeledai In reply to SomeDumbDeviant [2011-08-28 12:09:08 +0000 UTC]

Gotta try Herge(Tintin)/Goscinny(Asterix)/Uderzo(Asterix) style once in a while I like those wacky but very amusing and apt way of drawing human beings Looks like I'm going to adopt this style for human drawings

You mean Verdana I suppose? Hmmm... Never drawn a female before, but I'll try it for the challenge As for times new roman, I think I know exactly how to draw him! Thanks for the suggestions

SomeDumbDeviant In reply to Yudhaikeledai [2011-08-28 12:29:54 +0000 UTC]

....Or maybe the commonly used comic sans and papyrus ....

They certainly are amusing styles of cartoon humans , I rarely see any human picyures in my devwatches(or maybe because most people I watch are furries )
BTW, are you going to continue drawing anthros

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Yudhaikeledai In reply to SomeDumbDeviant [2011-08-28 12:43:03 +0000 UTC]

Papyrus and Comic Sans? Oh most certainly

As for me drawing anthros, yes, I will also continue drawing them. I'm still practicing though However, I will still specialise in animating with these being secondary ones (I don't know about 2 other things which I'm also trying that is 3D animating as well as Music Composing/Arranging, the latter I'm familiarising myself with)

SomeDumbDeviant In reply to Yudhaikeledai [2011-08-28 14:37:41 +0000 UTC]

Unfortunately, I heard they are the most hated fonts , not sure why though....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Yudhaikeledai In reply to SomeDumbDeviant [2011-08-28 15:03:30 +0000 UTC]

They are abused that's the problem. Some use them as far as to write formal letters (or e-mails) or serious nature articles.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SomeDumbDeviant In reply to Yudhaikeledai [2011-08-28 15:20:48 +0000 UTC]

They are also being overused in advertisements

Like those preschool education ones, they tend to use this kind of kiddie fonts , as for Papyrus, it's just for decorative purpose and should not be used for formal letters.

Yudhaikeledai In reply to SomeDumbDeviant [2011-08-28 15:36:30 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm... There is a hate campaign against Comic Sans if I'm not mistaken somewhere around the internet. Oh Furballs I didn't bookmark it, I was wishing to show you about it...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SomeDumbDeviant In reply to Yudhaikeledai [2011-08-29 04:39:43 +0000 UTC]

There's such a thing? O_o
Comic sans is just like Kristen ITC, they both look quite childish looking .

And the worst font ever is WINGDINGS!!!!
Why? Because you can't understand a single word when you type it out .

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Yudhaikeledai In reply to SomeDumbDeviant [2011-08-29 04:56:34 +0000 UTC]

Yes its true, just type Comic Sans hate in the internet, and you'll see.

That's why wingdings is so fun to abuse Can you imagine?
*speaks in wingdings* Pencil Telephone Star Mail Eightball Finger Flag! Plane Arrow Mountain Mailbox!!! Open Mailbox!!!

SomeDumbDeviant In reply to Yudhaikeledai [2011-08-29 07:53:58 +0000 UTC]

O_o I don't get it....
There are also alternatives to Comic sans, but you need to download them . Another reason for hating them is when Teachers type notes for students, they often use Comic sans, makes it look childish .
