Description
This is last one of my "Gray Wardens Secrets".I never liked Riordan. Really. When he suggested that Loghain should join Gray Wardens I thought I'll get choked. I just can't imagine Duncan saying such thing.
So when he said that gray warden has to die to defeat archdemon I knew Marika will die. I knew that Riordan somehow won't be able to do it - it would be to easy - and I wasn't willing to sacrifice Alistair.
As You see I took an opportunity to show hardened Alistair. I'm little tired of seeing fanarts where he's blushing each time someone speaks about his intimate life. He is not some teenage girl, right? He is man, for heaven's sake!
So, this is it! This one closes "Secrets" series. If you like Marika, don't worry! I have many stories about her in my mind, more or less funny.
Just be patient.
Heh, I preordered Dragon age 2, and just can't wait to get it in my hands.
Until then I play DA: O again, this time as elf mage.

UGH! I can't agree with you more about all of the touchy-feely Alistair. It makes me almost vomit how passive and submissive he is in most fanarts. I don't even blame it on people who had an unhardened Alistair as in my first play-through I didn't harden him (because I didn't know about it) but I never thought he was a push over or a whiny baby that needed to be lead around and dominated. /rant
That said, I didn't like Riordan either but Duncan not suggesting the same thing is unfortunately squashed by David Gaider that he would, in fact, think to recruit Lohgain into the Grey Wardens and Alistair would from there be disillusioned about the Grey Warden from then on out. Still don't hate Duncan though, I'm sure he would give a better explanation than Riordan but it still wouldn't be received well by my CEF and obviously Al here.

Ha! I had no idea that I can harden him, too. He was never some sissy character for me. Yes, he is funny, nice and sensitive man, little naive maybe and sometimes shy, but he is also strong man, righteous, brave and caring. I was irritated that almost whole team was making fun of him. Sometimes I regretted that Marika couldn't turn around and say "Leave him alone! You don't have your own sexual life?"
About Duncan You're maybe right. As You can see in my "Secrets" series, I have quite low opinion of how this gray wardens order works. Yeah, game was great, I really enjoyed it, but concept of such brotherhood is creepy.

Very creepy. I mean could it have killed Duncan (sooner) if he just sat down for, like five minutes to tell the Warden what it truly means to be a Grey Warden? Especially for the gals. The fact that women can no longer or have an extremely hard time conceiving nor have children with other Wardens is a bit of information that shouldn't be taken likely. I also find it sloppy that he didn't even tell Alistair the most important part: dying while slaying the Archdemon. I guess you can say that he never brought it up because he wasn't expecting you or Alistair to have to even face the Archdemon, but come on! Always, always ALWAYS prepare for the worst because the worse definitely happened.
Great series by the way. Your Cousland is one of the few I can get behind. Most of the others seem to be stricken with "Disney Princess Syndrome".

Ha! Thank You, Tabris! I have to say, that this one got out of control somehow. I planned completely different scene, but I changed my mind while drawing it.
In my humble opinion Riordan looks like a zombie in game. Creepy. Brrrr...
