Ok, so, a few weeks ago a friend from DA was feeling bad because her artwork was sold on taobao without her permission. It is already horrible as it is, no artist deserves this in the first place, so I decided to make a little something. It might sound spiteful to think such a silly drawing will help her feel better about the whole thing, but I really hope it does. I won't say names because I'm not sure about how comfortable she'll feel about being exposed like that, but she'll know.If any of you ever see art for people you know being sold, please tell them! Artists usually don't know and don't agree with their pieces outside DA, and, when they do, they advertize it themselves.

Aww, man, I know the feeling. One of my friends artworks was being sold on a website and since it got so bad they started putting watermarks on their artworks. I heard the more popular an artist is the more likely it's going to be stolen unfortunately. :<

And I noticed it happens a lot with fanart, which sucks because, fanart is supposed to be something for fun and because it was drawn with love and things like that. It's really wrong to just go and steal it like that. I just don't understand why people can't just make their own art. It's not hard to start drawing, it's really fun, so I never understood people who stole art. It puzzles me. And I hope your friend feels better, that really sucks, and yeah they're feeling better about it now, and they even don't upload the full size anymore, it's really resized really small, orz.

Usually people want to draw or have/sell a pretty drawing themselves but they don't want to put an effort into it. The people selling could've easily commissioned the person to make art, but they chose to steal instead, since it's for free. If they don't want to put an effort into paying or doing it themselves, theys teal, which is pretty sad. She's a bit better now, but still, it's something that weights on you.

I agree. And I can understand, I had my art stolen once before, but no one has made a profit off it as far as I know. That's when it becomes a problem when they start making money off of it. I actually know someone that stopped posting their art because of things like this. It just really bothers me, and it's just sad.
