Gotta love white knights who clearly don't understand how the art world works, how references help people learn to draw. I already told people when I first started sketching this out that I'd be using this and denny's works as references. It's no secret that a lot of my art is based off other peoples' drawings since I'm only 7 months in on my journey to learn to draw.

There's a *huge* difference between using a reference to learn how to draw and straight-up copying a drawing.
Spoiler alert, I draw. Have been doing so for quite some time. I used references, but only for the pose, and only for a pretty brief time before I, you know, learned how anatomy actually works. I didn't copy my references, down to the fucking background, because I actually do shit that's original.Β
Don't bring the "I'm only 7 months in..." bullshit in here. That's the absolute easiest way out in the book.

I was hoping I could coax some more information out of you; thanks for confirming that information. You'll be surprised to note that if you move your fingers around two inches and click the tabs that swap bewteen this picture and the other, you'll be able to see pretty clearly how the lines do not line up. Don't bring in the "practically traced bullshit" when I'm using references to scale my anatomy. Clearly, if you're jealous of my work, you should try using my pictures for references yourself. THEN I go and find pictures that look similar AFTER THE FACT to reference how things SHOULD look, and then choose background ideas based off similar drawings.
