Terence used to be a scientist in a Shelter's facility with his wife, but lost her in an accident at the lab. He is now a drunk bitter man who had to raise Shannon alone. He has a lot of health issues but refuses to take his medicines, is stubborn and unsufferable and generally not good at this parenting stuff. Shannon knows he probably likes him or he would have discarded him earlier when he was a kid. But he is also stubborn and short-headed and they're constantly fighting. To make things worse Shannon is working for the Shelter now despite his dad hating anything related to the organization. Shannon uses to say Terence is an useless bother. But the fact is that he cares too much to leave the old man alone.
