My OCs, Cillian (left) and Kain. Sorry about the horrible BG... the ocean was not cooperating
Cillian is the son of a wealthy merchant, always lived a carefree privileged life. Not used to being refused anything or anyone, but he's not a snob, just a bit oblivious to others feelings.
Kain was given up by his parents at an early age, and he thinks it's because of his strange pointed ears. Very intelligent but due to his impoverished social status he has to work harder for what he wants. Currently a ship's navigator working for Cillian's father.

Awww, glad you love their clothes! Wanted to do a bit of pirate garb (I did the linework back on Talk Like a Pirate Day!) plus their island clothing isn't good for storms!

Ya...I know. Sadly it is really tough to get dark colors w/o it looking grainy when absorbed on the paper and I didn't want it to get to that point and ruin all the effort I put into the guys, so I left it a bit washed out. Oh well, it's not the focus anyway!

When I had to reinstall system on my current laptop, I had some time. Finished one piece, but without any BG. Watercolours for a friend, promised like in... June or July?
You need to use proper paper for watercolours then. I use loads of water sometimes for some effects and only one time I had grains (yup, a wall on my featured(?) work) is because it was a normal paper. A bit tougher than printer one, but...
I use those: [link] and [link] but not on spiral. Just to let it dry for moment and press after, so the paper will remain flat.
My paints: [link] polish ones, in blocks <3 But aiming to get "White Nights" russian ones [link]
Whatever... I still adore the fox statue thing that you painted in "Surreal" chain of works. Amazing. *wants*

Watercolors can be a b!tch to work with, and there are soooo many DA artists so much more skilled at them than I, but am working at it, slowly getting better I hope
