By the way, there's something I really wanted to ask you...well, you saw Cynchick's last work, right? It's amazing, of course, but...now, what do I do what I was going to do? You saw the references, so you can see that if I use them, the fanart will probably end up really similar to hers. I don't want to discard to idea completely, because it's something that I really wanted to do, and I could look for other references, but I don't want to do something too different from what I first planned either

Well, your styles are quite different: Hers is a bit more realistic, yours is a bit more true to the anime. Plus, her characters are in elegant wear, and yours are going to be in ANBU gear. I think that in the end there are going to be enough differences that people aren't going to be like "Oh, you just stole that idea from her!"
If you're still afraid of going for it, maybe work on the drawing, but don't post it until you've posted a few other drawings in-between, like all those sketches you showed me before. That way, there's a little bit more time between her post and yours. Whatever you decide, I support you, okay?

Hum...that's true. But I think the idea of waiting some time is better...maybe I'll draw my ID and a few chibies...and there was someone asking me about chibi commissions, so maybe I'll start doing commissions too...
