The scene in the OVA Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal is truly the epitome and the most poignant part of Kenshin’s life I believe.
I will not say anything more on this so as not to spoil the story for those who are curious to discover it. Even thought this image is quite a spoiler in itself…
I mainly wanted to focus on Kenshin’s emotions of anger and despair but above all, loss.
In the OVA the scene was gory but so as not to go too overboard I had to tone it down a little… but this ends up being the bloodiest picture I ever did.
Finally, the quote doesn’t correspond to the scene in the image but I think it illustrates very well the tragic mood of it all.
I would like to thank ~xXBrokenMemoriesXx for letting me use her cosplay picture as reference. It directly inspired this drawing. [link]

What an amazing artwork!
The level of detail is really great and their poses and expressions are so emotional and fit the scene very, very well. I also like how you did the blood stains on their clothes, with one exception though: Just above Tomoe's obi there's a blotch that doesn't follow the folds of her clothing and looks rather "tacked on". But that's just nitpicking and doesn't effect the great impact of this picture. Great job!

This is so lovely, but so sad. ;_; I love all the detail you put into this, and the snow and the way you can see their breath. Such a tragic scene... It hurts my heart, but it's beautiful all the same.
Great job on the background as well. It's very smooth and works with the whole picture very nicely. Also, the way the blood stains the ground and their clothes looks amazing.

btw.Im wathing kenshin OVA's I didnt watch all of them just few scenes
but now I'mma watchin cus of you n must say it's different from the stupid boring childish animes around
(I mean like KHR or kuroshitshi etc...etc... or hetalia(but I like etalia whuteva) )
