Matteo, after consummating his marriage with Cloud, begins to gain weight at an alarming pace. Four days in, he's gotten quite fat and there seems to be no end in sight. It was his price to pay for being married to Cloud, but he's more concerned with not being as attractive for her. He doesn't care for himself, but he feels she deserves better than the fat fatty he's becoming.

Yeah, Cloud's powers have all but gone, however, Matteo gets "sparked" as the remaining powers dissipate ... and a spark is a bad thing for Matteo's waistline.
