This is my entry for 's contest about her team and myths.

I've chosen to portray Solveig and Jormungandr in an Egyptian Myth : the daily travel of the Sun god Ra, and his confrontation with the god of Chaos, Apophis.

At night, the Dark Snake approaches the sun boat, divine transport of the Solar Eagle, in order to stop it by destroying it, and so to plunge the world into an eternal night (sounds like Ôkami, now that I think about it...)

I've originally planned to draw also Fenrir as Seth, because during my researches I found that he was helping Ra during the fight, so as two other gods (Bastat under the features of Sekhmet, if I well remember, and another god I don't remember the name) But, in the end, the myth is especially known as the daily duel between these only two characters.

I apologize for the bad quality of the picture, but taking a photo with my phone was the only option left.
