Description
This gladiator named Taurus wrestled his companion of the ludus, called Marbus, with no reserve at all. It was obvious, the young tiro was no real match for the veteranus. In spite of his comparatively young age, Taurus had much experience in the arena. His fierce anger attacking any opponent had given him his nickname. He even had fought wild animals with his bare hands. The scars on his forehead remembered all gladiators in the ludus of the fact he singlehandedly had killed a lion, said to be descendant of the mythical Nemean lion. Not many gladiators dared to challenge Taurus, for he had broken necks of at least two or three of his opponents. Fighting against Taurus in the private palaestra of the palace, did make the young Suebian wonder, what would become of him, if he would be able to conquer the veteranus. The idea of becoming the champion of the emperor did appeal immensely to the young ambitious gladiator. Possibly, he even would be allowed to live in the palace close to Commodus himself and accompany him on his travels as his personal bodyguard.
However, once his body was clamped by the strong grip of Taurus, soon made clear there was not much chance of beating this experienced opponent. Only interference of Commodus himself could rescue him from a certain defeat. But in fact Marvus heard Commodus support Taurus from aside, making remarks like: “Yes, proud and brutal Taurus, show that fair Suebian what you’re made of! Make him eat sand and let him feel the might of your arm and fist. Don’t you hold in that power of yours, which you’re famous for!” Actually, Taurus wasn’t listening at all as he launched his rage and lost track of where he actually was: The private quarters of the most powerful man in the whole empire.
Meanwhile, Hylas was gazing full of admiration as Taurus muscular body was twisting and turning as he forced Marbus to the ground. He could hear the man snorting like a wild animal, while sweat beaded on his broad back. The young slave felt weak in his knees, wishing it was he, lying underneath this pile of muscle and getting submitted by this beast, as he often had fantasized, when he watched him fighting in the ludus. Hylas had even tried to lie beside him in his cubiculum, after having spend most of his cash on wine, hoping to get his idol drunk and indifferent to spend the night with him…
