As promised, I'm posting a third picture for my Draw-Cember challenge today. Here is Dame Kinin's "sister", Hayi.

Here are the facts about her:

1- Her full name is 'Dame Hayi Lindell'. She appears as a young girl with golden hair and jade eyes like Kinin, but wears more tasteful apparel. She also holds a three-point wand and usually wears a ring attached to a short chain around her neck.

2- The name 'Hayi' is an Arabic name meaning 'Living', while Lindell is an Old English name that means 'Linden Tree Valley'. This fits with her choice of colors when she dresses - prefering more natural colors - and her preference for socializing with the non-humans of Sherad - namely the Minks and Moniae who see her as a benefactor.

3- Contrary to Kinin, Hayi detests the garish life of Aberia and prefers to stay away from nobility. She is mature, modest and caring to those in need, and is deeply disturbed over the recent rise of slave trades and underground markets in Aberia and Meahendale. She also tends to shy away from conflict, not taking sides with or against the Outcriers or Acolytes as she finds both points of view skewed and incomplete.

4- The fact that she cannot abide to Aberian life has left her homeless, which spurred her spiteful relation with Kinin. However, of the two, Hayi is the most proficient in time magic, allowing her to turn objects to dust, grow crops or return trees to life. She never uses her power for personal gain and would rather give to others than receive.
