In 'Upon a Star', I introduced two flowers that have unusual effects: 1- The Dawn Lotus, whose pollen acts as an aphrodisiac; and 2- The Blood Rose, which if crushed and ingested, can temporarily numb a person's judgment and make them agree to anything. In Alex's Story, a variant of the two was made into a single flower with the effects of both parents. This flower is what was used to keep Lady Melne and the population of the city she lives in (still not sure of the name of the city yet) to a state of euphoric compliance - in other words, they are too happy to think straight.

For this picture, I wanted Alex to give Lady Melne (now cured of her intoxication from the flower's perfume) to give her a different lotus flower. However, each color has a different meaning, so I'm not sure which would make more sense:

1- White lotus flowers are one of the most popular colors. They signify many things, including beauty, grace, purity of mind, wealth, knowledge, fertility, and faith. Their worldwide popularity and relevance have gained them the name “Womb of the World.”

2- Pink lotus flowers are often associated with Buddhism as these charming blooms are said to portray Buddha’s earthly symbol. They hold various meanings, depending on the state of their buds. A pink lotus plant with a close bud represents passing through the spiritual path, while a fully-bloomed one means enlightenment.

3- Lotus flowers are also available in yellow. They often symbolize religious beliefs.

4- The meaning of a red lotus flower is not too far different from other popular red flowers, such as roses and carnations. These delicate blooms signify compassion, sympathy, and selfless love. They also represent heart, passion, and generosity.

5- Blue lotus flowers are captivating and hard to find. They mean wisdom, knowledge, ability to control things over emotions, worldly aspirations, and senses.

6- Lotus flowers in purple are often associated with Buddhism. They mostly represent self-awakening.
