Description A gift for my coworker's mother! My coworker is a professional gardener, so I tried to get the flowers as accurate as I could (since she'd be able to tell right away if something was off). I-It was harder than I expected....

It doesn't really show up here, but the background paper is actually iridescent. It looks nice in real life! I took some inkpads and brushed them over the paper's surface to give it some color.

The floers look glorious. And the simple dots of the green work really well against the more complex patterns on the flower and the incredible bird. ^^ The white flash on the wings matching the speckle on its chest is so pretty and refreshing. ^^

Although really, the whole piece is wonderuflly refreshing and bright!

Aww, you always leave the sweetest comments. I'm glad you like the simpler green pattern vs. the more complex flower/bird patterns! I've been working harder at trying to balance out the patterns I use - I felt like my stuff got a little too busy/flashy for a while - so it's lovely to know it seems to be working.
