Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I'm finally back from Japan, and as soon as the jet lag passes, I'll be back in action with lots of new art. I've been so inspired why all the amazing beauties in Japan, I can't wait to get back to drawing it all!
This photo was taken in Shiratani Unsuikyo, a beautiful forest of ancient cedar trees and moss. This place served as the inspiration for Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke, my all time favorite film. It was such a magical experience to be surrounded by so much lush green life. Truly, what a beautiful world we live in.

No wonder it inspired Mononoke. Miyazaki and Tezuka both loved nature quite a bit. I think that's something that's missing in my life really. Sounds like Japan was an amazing visit. Glad you went there!

Lucky you finding the source of inspiration ^.^ I've only been to a place similar to it called 'Becky Falls' where you could climb a waterfall like this, absolutely lovely!

What I most admire and have to remark for this picture is the light. While the center/upwards angle and right green color scheem are quite wonderful, the way it al find itself iluminated and partly born by the flare o the upper part of the picture is what truly makes it for me. It is Increadible, for it give the picture a feeling calm, peace and life. I love this I say:3
