SOPA is a new bill that was petioned by the U.S. government that would "stop online piracy". On an exterior look, they could sue, remove items from the internet that has "stolen copyright stuff" and ban those suppliers. In the interior side however, with those conditions, they would be able to control the web and remove everything they deem to have "pirated" stuff. Which includes about more than 50% of the fanmade videos in youtube, all of the free music downloads aaaand pretty much everything the deem "stolen". It would affect everyone; the gamers, the music people, those who love anime and manga
Due to the many many complains and protests about it, they have decided to postpone the bill for the moment until they can make a "more agreeable" version of it. But they killed Megaupload before they stopped the petition for it sadly.....
