Description Still experimenting with/learning to use Blender, this time less terrain and a bit more character modeling
(So far just a work in process, still not sure about the textures and sure still have to work on the rig to be usable for more complex poses/animations)
But nevertheless like the look so far and would say the look fits her quite well^^

Once again hope nobody mind the less drawn stuff^^
What do you guys think about this/her?

Hmmmm now that you say it... there was something you said in this direction (not sure about the context^^)
Maybe you should try to play the lottery?

Nothing finished, still want to look for an shader/texture to give the hair a more stringy hairlike look
maybe also something to give the basic "plain" fur a bit more structure...
...beside a lot other things that still have to be done, just have to say, rigging a model is a lot more work than expected^^
Lets see how the whole thing will turn out

Hmmmm have to say I have an 3d printer... so maybe at a point...

Yeah sure had to be under one of these^^

Was/am a bit into tabletop games and bought an cheaper one at some point... it´s at a point were even the cheaper ones are mostly usable
(maybe even something worth a thought for you if taken a look on the models in your gallery,
cant judge your polymer clay skills but I take the risk and say it would improve your sculpture quality )

Could maybe also post something here if it ever ends up with a physical Fay model...

Thanks
Hmmm not sure if I should take that as compliment or as an insult...

Oh I did realize that the comment could be construed as an insult sorry. Dx

I guess it purely comes down personal preference. Though I truly love both styles that you have shared and it's really great that you have the time and talent so share both with us.

Try my best, finally managed to get into a basic workflow for the simpler tools/tasks...
...sadly still have to look up every second more complex task^^ (with varying results based on the quality of the used YouTube tutorials )
Some experiences with it on your side?

Still mostly happy so far so it means a lot to hear others also like the result so far
Big Thanks for the feedback

Hmmm and I thought you could teach me all the secret Blender tricks, disappointing!!!!
Thanks, sure happy to hear it looks acceptable so far and sure all support is appreciated^^

(still in the rigging process, sure a lot of work to get everything moving without clipping^^
But slow progress is noticeable and at minimum gives a good base for the next attempts
Sure already see a lot of things I would have done differently now... )

As said already used a lot of tutorials, even if its more an "google actually too specific thing -> follow suggested tutorial" things than structured learning... but I think I start to get the bigger picture^^ Sure there are better ways ... maybe I should take a look into these groups but... NAH^^

Aaaaadorable, love how she looks, and how your style looks in 3D. By the way, you learned 3D pretty fast.

Yvem In reply to JGGC [2020-05-01 18:45:11 +0000 UTC]

Sure happy to hear so
(looks more similar to my 2d drawings than the versions I showed you before... I mostly like it so far^^)
Well still far away from "learned", so far mostly modified youtube tutorials (i partly have to rewatch every time I have to do it again^^)
Ok maybe a few things I caught on the way... lets see how the next time will go

FAY!!!!!!! I love Fay very much; she always looks cute and beautiful! She is a joy to see!

It's nice to see some 3D stuff from you; nice to see you made a model of Fay! Keep going with the blender stuff; we would love to see where you go with it! But a new piece from you is always a joy!

The model lookspretty decent to me... I guess I would suggest trying sharper colors? I'm not sure, I never used Blender before (but I would like to try it out, someday)... but I love the model very much; Fay's model looks super adorable!

Good you even like her in this incarnation

Yeah still on the run and still much things to do with this on...^^
(but so far I like the look, it sure looks a lot more similar stylewise to my drawings than the first tries I showed you a while ago )

Still experiment with the textures and, beside getting a fitting "fur texture",  how I maybe can edit in extern programs (also to get an sharper look)... lets see if it helps
Can just say it´s at least worth the try to get into Blender, sure the effort does depend on what you want to achieve but its worth the run

Still happy you like it so far, thanks

KobaltSteel In reply to Yvem [2020-05-02 11:37:04 +0000 UTC]

Of course! Fay is beautiful and precious always! I want to snuggle her, hold her hand, skip through the meadows with her, sweep her off her feet, have dinner with her, and many more things!

Hooefully you continue your Blender stuff! We would love to see more of this!

Hope it works!

I'll try it out!

It's no problem!

Hmmm always thought you were more the "big girl" kind of type...
... even if not, I am not sure you would be her kind of type

Also she is sure she is still impressed by a certain horse encounter...

Yeah as seen on the second part still on the run^^

...just can say would be an "easy" possibility to make more complex 2D animations for your games

KobaltSteel In reply to Yvem [2020-05-09 18:21:27 +0000 UTC]

Well... I'm still into big girls... I actually miss Ona a lot; she was the best... and just beyond beautiful

You should draw Ona again, some day

But I still love Fay a lot; she is just very adorable...

YOU AND YOUR BLASTED INN WORKERS!!!! I CAN'T TAKE YOU ANYMORE!!!!! >>>>>>:CCCCC

Hopefully you manage to do something with Blender! Would love to see what you do!

Hey, we can work together on stuff, if you want!
